Talk about Bitdefender

The criticism belongs to me. I am not up with technology. I was unable to work out if Bitdefender contacted me. My request was resolved by Bitdefender without any input from me. I think my involvement with them has given them an insight into my incompetence. I am 80 Years. I thank Bitdefender for their thoroughness and their appreciation of my situation entirely. Thank you all. Tab

Renewal without permission with extra charges

Kindly be advised that today amount of 249.99AED was deducted from our bank account as renewal without our permission although we didn't request that ! Also we bought it with amount 124.99AED on 18 Sep 2020. ( and 90 AED for technical support which we cancelled that and until now not refunded !! ) Pleas advice - why renew it without any permission or ask before! - deduct 245 AED instead of 125 AED ! - technical support was cancelled but until now not refund !

BUG ANTIVIRUS

THERE IS A VIRUS, WORM, TROYAN MALWARE. THIS ENTERS THROUGH EMAIL OR USB MEMORIES. THAT AVG ULTIMATE DOES NOT DETECT.THE MACHINE WHEN IT IS INFECTED WITH THIS VIRUS-WORM OR MALWARE.THE COMPUTER STOPS PRINTING. NO ANTIVIRUS OF ANY BRAND DETECTS THE VIRUS, WORM OR MALWARE. YOU GO TO THE WINDOWS FOLDER AND DELETE WHAT THE PRINTER HAS MANUALLY AND THE PROBLEM IS NOT SOLVED. VACCINES WITH VARIOUS ANTIVIRUSES AND THE SAME IS STILL.YOU CAN UNINSTALL THE PRINTERS AND TURN OFF THE EQUIPMENT AND RE-INSTALL THEM AND IT IS NOT SOLVED. THE ONLY SOLUTION IS TO RESTORE THE SYSTEM TO AN EARLIER DATE THAT THE PRINTER IS WORKING DOES.RETURNING THE WINDOWS IN TIME, THE PROBLEM IS SOLVED. BBUUGG

No Real Tech Support

Numerous robot answered emails that do nothing to solve the problem and only waste time.

I have a small CNC program from ProtoTrak. It will not run with Bitdefender installed. I have had this problem for years and every upgrade recreates the problem. When Bitdefender was smaller you used to be able to get support from a human. Now all their emails are answered by robots and they just provide an endless series of pointless exercises that do not solve the problem. No humans help.

User's recommendation: Ok for generic Windows programs, not for anything technical.

Solution to my problem.

It really is a bad company

I have tried to contact them several times about cancelling my account and obtaining a refund with absolutely no replies. This is the worst company that I have ever tried to deal with!!!

Why is this program so hard to install that Bitdefender charges more to 'help' you install it, than what they charge for the actual program. They won't even list their customer service phone number. It's like you buy their product and they say *** you!

Stealing money

Tech call me and said that it was a follow up call the he tool 169 dollars from my PayPal account when I told him I was not interested then I see another 729.00 taken for it also and it some earth math company, this is not a very good way to do business

No reply for the worst customer service ever

I thought that I would try the service based on current reviews. I ordered the service at the 60% discount and the VPN. They charged me the full rate and the VPN never loaded. I called them about the issue and they have never gotten back to me. I had to call my credit card company to formally complain. The worst ever customer service i have ever received.

I agree that the customer service is horrible. Called the Canadian Support Line and twice they cut me off, called the USA Support and not much better as we renewed our subscription and it was supposed to be an automatically renewed, but it isn't and their support won't call us back!

Bait and switch in email pricing for product

Received an email from Bitdefender advertising their 15-day special of the Antivirus Plus 2020 for 3 devices for $19.99. Clicked on the link and went thru purchasing the product. However, the price that showed up I was billed for was $32.09, NOT the $21.39 ($19.99 + sales tax). They did a bait and switch on the price. Called their customer support and lo, and behold, it's India. Big surprise. The support person tried to blame it on cookies and cache, saying my browser had retained information from a previous visit. This particular computer had never been to the bitdefender site. Then he tried blaming me for purchasing the wrong product and it was only for 1 device, not the 3 advertised. I had to read the advert email to him. Then he told me that maybe I clicked on the wrong product which is funny, because it was correct all the way up to the actual purchase. Then he told me he could not do a partial refund because he would have to email the branch that handled that and they did not deal with customers over the phone, only by internal email. I asked for a manager because at this point, I am angry. He told me the manager had no higher privileges than he did and could not do anything different. While he is telling me these excuses, I logged into PayPal and filed a grievance over misrepresented pricing. After telling him I did this, he changed his tune and said he could file a complete refund but it could take up to 7 business days before I saw my money again. I did purchase the product finally for correct price, but used a credit card in case they pulled that again. Will never buy from them again since they seem to be a company that resorts to these practices.Ver PV

Misrepresentation of pricing
