Undoubtedly the worst ever. It slowed my 4GB RAM laptop and turned it into a tortoise! It wouldn't let me launch google chrome and slow down firefox. It caused a lot of problems with Netflix too. I tried using other anti spyware softwares. Solution? Uninstalled it and went back to my Kaspersky; it worked like magic! My life back to normal. My true opinion? Don't even bother with bitdefender or its other products. They are a rip off. Take it from an experienced and long term user of antiviruses. Just go for the regular antiviruses like AVG, Kaspersky, or even Norton!

Tricky charges and hidden options. These two companies are like the "cat and the fox". I ordered several products from Bitdefender and I'm happy with the quality. The problems start when you order at Bitdefender and get charged by Avangate. Typical trick is the autorenewal. You order at BD, you think that you can manage your payments and option via its "my account", and you are wrong. Avangate does process and manage your money. I managed to open "my account" at Avangate and found that the "auto renewal" was ON. Wow! But, there was another "ON" under "notify me via e-mail when the subsription is about to expire. Did I get the message? Nooo. I wrote them, by chance, a few day before the expiry date and they sent me back to Bitdefender. The "cat and the fox" have hit again.

Auto-Rip-Off | Bitdefender review from Linton, Indiana

My Paypal account gets charged with an invoice for $89.95 from a company I have never heard of or dealt with. So I call PayPal and tell my story. Then six days later I get an email from Bitdefender telling me that " My order " has been cancelled and something about a chargeback. They acted like they they were doing me such a big favor. I don`t know what other people call it. But here,when you have to pay back something that is not yours it`s called 'retribution'-"punishment that is considered to be morally right and fully deserved:NOT a favor. I had read that that product was worthy,but it did not do a good job blocking spam or keeping my pc clean.Therefore I did not or do Not want to hear anything from them OR their 'Vendors '. BEWARE

Customer Service Cursing with F-Bombs and G.D. | Bitdefender review

I have no complaints about the Bitdefender products however, I was extremely concerned that a company who handles security employs such foul-mouthed people. As I worked thru an install with a CSR, in the background I heard extremely loud, vulgar cursing including ***, G.D_mn, and clearly the CSR's were mimicking customers questions in shrill, immature-style voices in *** attempts to get fellow CSR's to join in. This went on the entire time of my customer experience. The lack of discipline and professional demeanor makes me fear Bitdefender is on a bad management trip. Customers beware! The Bitdefender workplace in Romania is crude beyond measure and that leads to the question... who is in charge of your computer's security? The Stazi?

you should trust only Malwarebytes anti- malware, ad-free. Your suspicion is correct that the programs you purchased are in fact the part of a scam in the phase of the game where they get not only your money but also they now have your credit card number and likely your identity.

I'm an it professional now for 16 years and the software I mentioned above are the only ones that are pay-pal donations supported as mal-ware(malicious software) tactics evolve and are tougher to get rid of. NEVER GIVE OUT CREDIT CARD INFO TO ANY ANTI-MALWARE company without at least Google-ing their name and service first!

Google "Bitdefender Complaints" and one of the first search results you'll get is the Better Business Bureau (in Florida) which gives the company an "F". My specific complaints are that I've suffered constant interruptions, pop-ups giving me inane information like "You're protected! We have no problems to report!" And then when I try to X-out of the pop-up, I get another pop-up that asks "Are you SURE you want to exit?" This of course is just disguised advertising. I thought I could protect myself against their "auto-renewal" policy by using Pay-Pal as a buffer. But 2 days before my subscription lapsed - a day I've been dreaming of - they quickly deducted a full-priced subscription fee from Pay-Pal. Pay-Pal allowed the funds to leave without my approval.

Regarding the quality of their program, I can neither say positive or negative comments. Their program seemed to perform adequately. On the other hand, their customer service is brutal ! Approx. 2 months ago my system seemed to absolutely slow down. I submitted a request to their 'support department' and 1 month later they contacted me and asked me to send them my system scan report. 3 weeks later they responded to my email w/report and told me that everything was fine, however I could uninstall their 2014 version and update it with their 2015 version (total security). Once I did that I was then prompted for my license key, which of course I no longer have as I purchased this program online almost 4months ago... So now, I am back to running a trial version (only good for 30days.lol.) and have since placed another request for my product key from their department. It's been a week and have not heard anything back.... yes, great customer service. lol. Would not recommend this product to anyone as this company clearly doesn't provide any kind of support to anyone who was foolish enough to purchase their products/services.
